Mounted on the battery compartment, including the alternator. Their length is enough to fix the door in the open position during work in the compartment. The problem I had was pulling out when the molding was too thick for the other door latch holders. These worked best for my application. Just measured and installed. I used my own black T20 bolts for the black-on-black match. Strong enough to hold doors as long as everything is in order. I would buy again.
