Note that when opening the product, part of the styrofoam may break and stick to the machine. I highly recommend that you wipe down every inch of this product as very small bits of metal have come loose from it. It works great and makes snow ice perfect for snow cones. I noticed that the first batch of ice cream I made had to be thrown away because there were tiny bits of metal in the ice cream. But the second time around, unless you lower the lid all the way down, meaning you leave some ice in there, you shouldn't get any metal grinding. I can't give it a solid 5 due to my paranoia of eating metal floors, but I'll edit my review if anything new comes up.
