After looking at other reviews I figured this was my clamp. Not. but if so, then they have abused the device. For example if you are using this on an overlay to glue the 45's together you will need a thick square piece on the outside. If you're trying to frame a thinner, rounded part on the outside, this device won't work for you, but it's not the device's fault if you abuse it. (I think you can probably save 45 seconds with the clip lock to help.) Anyway, another good thing about these clips is that you can make the clip any size you want just by adding additional clips add or go out and buy a big band. I use them to trim some large windows. I found it easier to dry install the pad to ensure a proper fit, and then remove the pad, glue, and staple to a flat work surface. As another reviewer pointed out, mark the clip before gluing. The tape is not as flexible as nylon so it will take some time to get the clips in place where you need them.
