I purchased this remote control after realizing that my PS4 controllers cannot use the PS button function when connected to PS3. This caused problems restarting games, returning to the home screen, and switching discs for PS1 games like Final Fantasy VII. This controller looks like a somewhat cheap build, but I don't think it's going to break anytime soon becomes. The type of use of this remote control should not usually play a role. Now I'll quickly list some of the pros and cons that I noticed. Pros: - Easy to set up - Easy to use - Light weight Cons - No additional functionality. Limited to PS3 only so your remote set will not be limited. A bit expensive for what you get. Feels like a cheap construction. At the moment I would recommend the remote to anyone looking for pure PS3 functionality. It's not compatible with PS4 or anything so it's limited. Overall a useful tool that I would buy again. Look for Prime Day or Black Friday deals if you can wait
