I've seen several bad reviews for this product, which isn't always fair. Note that the "compression camshaft" in Briggs engines often fails, resulting in starter or battery failure. Don't be like me - before you change the starter, remove the spark plug and see if the engine starts. Then the starter is ok and you need a new camshaft. Replacing a camshaft is a moderate repair that most painters can handle. There are many videos on YouTube that explain the process.
