Review on πŸ’‘ BESTTEN 7 Outlet Metal Power Strip with 9ft Cord: Heavy Duty, Surge Protector, and Cord Management - ETL Certified, Yellow by Jesse Azuse

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Shell, raw materials

As long as they work. I don't know if the breakers will still trip and I haven't experienced any major power surges. Therefore, I cannot speak about these qualities. However, they are advertised as Heavy Duty Metal. You are not overwhelmed at all. The cable and connector are good, but the band itself is of poor quality and extremely light. More specifically, the metal is simply an ultra-thin cover over a plastic exit bar. I mean thin metal. The switch is very cheap and flimsy, it seems like it will break every time it's flipped - literally. I shook it back and forth several times and each time it looked like it was about to break, giving me no confidence in the reliability and safety of the electrical connection inside. The plastic, which looks sturdy in the photos in the ad, is actually quite flexible. And on plastic, there are burrs from the molding process almost everywhere. I would absolutely not trust them unsupervised. Especially not in the heat of the garage and not over many years. If I saw them in the store and bought them first, I would never buy them for money. That's the price of online shopping - sometimes. Conclusion: Do not buy this extension cord. I have already ordered another one from an outdated manufacturer I trust. After receiving this so-called Heavy Duty Metal. The extension cords go in the trash as I don't want to waste any more time on them.
