Review on Polder TMR 993 95 Digital Kitchen Magnet by Rebecca Martin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am disappointed: Timer

I am disappointed. It has bad habits compared to its cousin, the old round all-color case, the polder timer (not even available for use now) which I hope will last in my kitchen. I thought this new model could at least start with the old brains of his body, but better. nope For starters, if you don't stop the timer before 60 seconds has elapsed, it will forget your timer time; Very annoying when you're used to reusing, for example, the 7 minute timer in the kitchen to keep dinner going. Then there's the nice/hate touch controls. When delivered, the controller beeped (capacitive discharge?) as soon as the batteries were inserted. But the touch control you really need, stop/start, is a hard (pretty hard!) pushbutton switch. Grr. Then there are the lights; They are bright but annoying. The beep is so loud and annoying. Give me back the old round member of the Polder family - soft blinking lights that change color, intelligent, customizable, strong but not annoying beeps, etc. Sigh.

Pros
  • Two independent displays with very large numbers for easy reading
Cons
  • Some disadvantages
