Wow. I am impressed. I bought these to replace a missing set of Apple headphones (with mic that came with the iPhone and I use them to talk on iPhone, iPad and MacBook) and just wow. When speaking through Apple headphones, I had to hold the mic right in front of my mouth so the other person could hear what I was saying. I expected these Philips headphones to be equal or even worse. But no! I could have both hands free and just speak, and the listener could understand everything perfectly. Especially surprising considering the mic is a little farther down the cable than where Apple places it (this mic fell almost to my collarbone). While I quite missed the convenience of turning the volume up and down on the mic itself (rather than on the device the headphones are plugged into), getting a whole extra hand back is an easy trade-off! Even after eventually finding wayward Apple headphones, they become backups of them, not the other way around.
