Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Amarine Made Bike Rear Rack - 110 Lbs Capacity Aluminum Alloy/Iron Bicycle Pannier Rack - Adjustable, Quick Release Bicycle Carrier Racks for Luggage & Cargo by Kelly Noonan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Update: All bearing pins fell off

UPDATE: My luggage rack fell apart. The total weight I put on the rack was less than 36 pounds, which is about 1/4 of the advertised weight capacity. I have assembled several of these shelves and this has never happened to me. The details are poorly processed. Luckily, I had enough duct tape and some desperate engineering skills to get it working (but only after sending home 6lbs of gear in the middle of my trip). I'll be posting pics soon, but I wouldn't recommend this for anything other than VERY light use. I will ask for a refund so we can see how the customer service is. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've bought a couple of quick release rear bike racks for various bikes over the last few years and the build quality on this particular model seems a little less than solid. I'm pretty sure this thing would break if you were carrying half its advertised weight capacity (110lbs? LOL), but I'm pretty sure it can handle 30-40lbs just fine. I had to saw off about a half inch from one of the quick release bolts because that could jam the spokes. I think there's a reason this is currently the cheapest quick release rack on the Revain but I'm sure it will last the week of cycling I have ahead of me (I'll have about 25lbs on it) . If it breaks or there are other issues I will update the review.
