It was lighter than expected but no problem installing it and carrying 35lbs of cargo during a tough 4 day MTB ride. Only lost a nut on one of the levers attached to the frame. Use Loctite on the nuts and adjust accordingly. If you do, you won't have a problem with this rack.

Mine didn't come with instructions but it was easy enough to figure out. All tools are included although the small Allen key is not very strong and can bend if you try to over tighten the screws. The trunk itself is very durable. Although it comes with a bungee cord that runs along, you'll need something else to secure it to the sides.

Seems to be a good and fairly strong product BUT. I've never installed any of these, went back to ordering so I can print the image included in the product images above so I can see what I'm trying to do. I'm planning to put my small dog in a basket so it needs to be very secure so I'm not very comfortable needing "wings". VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I love the design, quality and look of the bike rack on my cruiser. I also took advantage of purchasing a bag of Paneer, which reduced the purchase price by five dollars. UPDATE: My luggage rack fell apart. The total weight I put on the rack was less than 36 pounds, which is about 1/4 of the advertised weight capacity. I have assembled several of these shelves and this has never happened to me. The details are poorly processed. Luckily, I had enough duct tape and some desperate engineering skills to get it working (but only after sending home 6lbs of gear in the middle of my trip).
