Installed light on one side of room, checked, everything works. I installed 4 more lamps, turned on the circuit and turned on the dimmer. POP! (with associated flash) 3 lamps were shorted out as a result of a manufacturing process where the ground screw was threaded through the black wire. I have diagnosed the problem (obviously on the picture I attach). The short also disabled my dimmer. If someone unsuspectingly installs them in a circuit without grounding (for example, when upgrading the lighting in an old house), this poses a serious health hazard, since the metal body of the lamp is live. In the picture I'm attaching you can see the ground screw going into the black wire (and some dark spots from the flash when I turned on the light). If you already have these lights installed, I want to warn you. To remove the outer cover, remove the plastic diffuser and look at the location of that black wire and screw - if you push that screw onto it if it hasn't already gone through the black insulation, it will probably make it in time. You could probably bend the black wire away from the screw, although it has very little slack.
