This stand fulfills its purpose exactly. It holds the front wheel of your bike firmly on the trainer. It's not as big as I would like, but I could tell from the photos that it would be. I just mounted it on a block of wood and everything is fine. This boner may or may not be high enough for you. This depends on the type of trainer you are using. My trainer holds the back of the bike up quite a bit, but it's a very cheap trainer. If you have lower running shoes, this riser will fit. The point is that the front and rear wheels are at the same height as if they were on the road. This is a step up in quality and a beautiful look. Sticks to carpet, hardwood floor and standard wood block.
