I've never tried colored clay, I usually use supermodeling and just paint the finished product. I was excited to try this, but you definitely won't get much of each color, so plan on making something really small. Each color varies greatly in texture and how oily they are, many colors don't color your skin well and transfer color to other colors so I couldn't use my hand roller and had to wipe the hand roller between each color. I would say it's ok for kids but not for jewelry or sculpture you're looking to sell.
