We made our own frameless cabinet to hold two drawers (the kind meant to retrofit old cabinets with shelves). Grooves have already been cut into the drawers. It took me forever to find the slides because most of the descriptions are vague. My drawers are 12" so I needed shorter slides as full 12" slides would be too long. Additionally, some of these slides have a plastic backing, making them even longer. We chose a 10 inch slide which was perfect. On these slides you will see a small hook on the back to hold the box. We removed this and attached the rail to the drawer with additional screws. It worked great. The slides roll easily and are absolutely stable. They don't extend all the way as I went with a shorter rail but everything in the drawer is easy to see. Now I can easily add overlay drawer fronts. You can find several videos on YouTube that show you very well how to install this type of guide. Hope this helps someone in a similar situation.
