This ferrule crimping tool works way better than I expected for the price. At this point I've used all sizes of ferrules and the tool crimps them all pretty well. Anything from 20-10ga worked well. 8ga was a bit lengthy for the big red lug, resulting in uneven crimps, although I doubt the red lug is designed for many stranded 8ga strands (e.g. car audio power cables). The case is pretty thin and if you drop it you'll be sad (don't ask, I know). However, given the price of this kit, none of the downsides are big enough to deduct a star. Great tool and consumable for the price, if you use it all day every day you might need something higher quality but for a casual user like me its great.
