Review on AmazonBasics Rooftop Cargo Carrier Black by Carl Durant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated: still 5 stars: Why I chose this over the Rola and Reese brands.

We needed this for a holiday as we recently downsized from a large SUV to a Highlander with a family of 5. I was arguing between this and a similarly sized Rola brand. Reese wasn't that tall. These "Revain Basics" didn't have any reviews, and even those that were posted were mostly from people who didn't actually purchase the product. After looking at the photos I settled on this one because it looked better and the straps looked wider and thicker. . The belt attachment points appear stronger here than on the Rola. Check out my unboxing photos, the included storage bag and the dimensions. The Revain Basics logo stands out, but if you don't like it you can fill it in with a highlighter. Haven't used this yet but took some photos of the product with measurements. If you think my review is helpful, please click the "Helpful" button. The straps are pretty wide. It literally rained all the way home today from our trip from Florida. 7 hours in the rain, sometimes quite heavy. The only water that got in seemed to be water droplets as we had to pack in the rain this morning. I'm also adding some new product photos of our knotweed.
