Review on 🖋️ Black Swingline 29965 Compact Electric Pencil Sharpener with Battery Power Option by Sasha Hsiao

We homeschool our three children and travel with them as much as possible. The compact, battery-powered Swingline pencil sharpener seemed like the perfect solution for the motorhome. It arrived today, a big disappointment. It works out of the box. Insert a pencil and it sharpens the pencil. Pull out the pencil and the motor will not stop. At first glance, it seems like we've caught a defective product with a defective switch. Not correct! Reading the instructions, we learn that this "undocumented feature" was made on purpose. The thing won't turn off! This was not mentioned in the online product information. Solutions appear to be unplugging the device, removing the batteries after each use, or pulling out the chip catcher that shuts off the motor. The latches on the small box are weak, indicating this option is short term and very messy. All in all, the qualities of durability and ease of use just aren't present in the product. I cannot recommend this product. Look elsewhere for a product designed by someone with common sense.
