The exta large fit me fine. I bought a second pair in large for a friend who has a large chest size. The large top was too small for her so we switched tops. The large fit me as well since I have a smaller chest. Definitely, keeps the cold air off your body. I remember the old cotton thermals that worked, but were too bulky under clothes. These are just fine.
