UPDATE: I have never changed my mind about the product until now. However, the heating pad stopped working a month after purchase. It's not clear if the bulb burned out or the wiring is faulty. I tested several different outlets and never dropped the heating pad, ruling out a faulty outlet or loose wiring. For a lightbulb to burn out in just a month is unforgivable, especially given the nature of the lightbulb. I have never seen this type of lamp and will probably refrain from buying products that use this type of lamp in the future. This is a powerful wax heater that heats up fairly quickly. The lamp inside is large and more than enough to heat the wax and light up the outside. The wax bowl holds enough of the whole pack of 6 melted waxes, although there is enough room for 2. One problem I've found is that there is too much of a gap between the wax cup and the outer surface of the jar, leading to more accidental drips resulting in a cracked wax cup. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this heater doubles as a lamp, giving off a dim light barely enough for reading. The effect of the light on the stained glass windows makes the heater a beautiful decorative element when it is on.
