Review on πŸ“š U-Create Sketch Book, Acid & Lignin Free, 9.5 x 6 inches, 57 lb Paper (53008) by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Small enough to fit in a large bag and big enough to have room to work

It's smaller than the sketchbook I already have. I see a lot of craft magazines for embroidery, quilting, etc. that use magazines and as someone who has never considered themselves an "artist" I wasn't sure I could pull it off. But I've tried some watercolor pencils and found I need them for quick sketches, then to blur and soften the pencil lines. I'll never be Monet, but at least I can capture some ideas. The size of the book makes it easy to fit in my purse and large bag, and I only have to carry pencils with me to draw when I think of something. I've just finished testing watercolor pencils and our winter isn't over yet so I've had a lot of chances to get outside to try it out lately. I like the weight of the paper and the fact that it's spiral bound and the pages are big enough to use without having to pinch everything.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Prize Piggy Bank

Has some drawbacks, but not bad overall.

It's OK but the chipboard back is not very sturdy and the paper is a little thinner than I prefer
