This filter is different from the factory installed part. It is positioned as "Mazda Valuable Products". This is clearly a cheap fake of the original. The plastic frame material is different from the original filter and there is no Mazda logo on it like the original. The gasket on the outside of the frame does not adhere well to the frame, especially in the corners. I very much doubt that this filter element will pass the performance test that the original filter had to pass during the development of the car's airbox. Poor quality and non-genuine designs make buying a Mazda part useless. It fits the airbox, it's just a matter of whether the gasket actually seals like the original. I recommend just going to your local parts store and buying the brand of filter they sell rather than ordering this one.
