As far as its ability to clean and condition synthetic hair seems fine, not terrible, but not phenomenal either. I didn't test it on a really dirty wig but on a newer one that's been worn a few times. It appeared to be in good condition, the wig had softened but then again this was a newer wig that I tested it on so I can't speak to its ability to restore a wig that has been used many times the point, where the fibers have become crispy. . (Maybe in the future when I wear glasses and a mask I'll test and update it on a wig in such poor condition. Why google and a mask, read below.) But my god the smell! This smell is awful and overpowering and not airing the wig seems to help. This is my main issue with this product and what makes it unusable. It smells so strong it makes my eyes water. I naively thought that if you let the wig air out for a few days, the smell would dissipate. No, on the contrary, it got worse. From an old woman bathing in the scent of perfume, she turned into a musty old woman bathing in mothballs and perfume. I ended up spraying a different brand of leave-in conditioner on my wig to keep it from smelling so bad, but I guess I'll just have to wash it out completely at this point. Listen to the reviews telling you how bad it stinks because they aren't kidding. You don't want to wear a wig that smells like this, it's an overly bad smell and not the one you want on your head. I wonder if people who like smells are just blind to how unpleasant and strong it is? lol I absolutely do not recommend this product and this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for so be careful with the buyer.
