A few years ago when I was living in DC we suddenly had an afternoon snow storm that hit the entire subway area at over 2 inches per hour. Typically, a 40 minute drive to work turned into a 7 hour ordeal and I was fortunate that some of us had tens of hour drives or ended up in hotels. I wondered what would happen if my truck broke down somewhere and the conditions were such that I couldn't find anywhere else to shelter? Luckily I never really needed to use this item - and I hope I never do - but I went a little higher than the typical disposable Mylar sheets in hopes that I would end up with a longer lasting and more effective product A great emergency solution A way to make cheap things worse A few extra bucks spent now won't make a difference on a chilly night with a few other options.
