galvanized means galvanized

They started rusting within a week - IF you're thinking of putting these things anywhere near the outside - don't use them or just for a week or so. them on a sailboat and immediately found significant rust. The quality of the base metal was also very susceptible to failure.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to tell

They are light but the body is rubbish

The pens are as I expected, light but the body is rubbish. You should use something to keep it closed as it won't stay closed. When I opened the box it was visible that several pens had been torn from the packaging, but the body was sealed with tape. I used asparagus rubber bands, 3 of them to keep it closed.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

The contents of the box are mixed upon delivery.

Large selection of medium and small cotter pins. The thin, flat plastic cover does not keep the cotter pins in their individual slots during transport. I received a well mixed assortment of cotter pins. A sheet of closed-cell foam in the lid and double-layer cardboard at the top under the shrink-wrap to provide some support during shipping will likely help avoid this problem.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Socket required

But the pins are great.

When you're bored and busy, buy a box of these pins. This will give you hours of sorting project. The plastic box is rubbish and due to the Revain's poor packaging (heavy metal tool packed in the same box as this one) the box was smashed with pens scattered everywhere. The cotter pins themselves are very good quality, strong, well made, easy to bend and hold up well.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good price, quality materials, shoddy packaging

Good price, quality materials, shoddy packaging. The item was shipped and arrived quickly. When the Revain package was opened, I found the box had opened. It was sealed with two pieces of tape over the plastic box's tabs. It would have been better if it had been shrink wrapped rather than sealed with tape. After about an hour and a half, the sorting pins are probably at 90%. Without the minimal tightness of the box, this would have been a 5 star rating. So if you have a minor OCD, look…

Great pins - awful box

The pins in this range are good - the plastic box they come in is awful. I received my box with a broken plastic clip (very thin) and reversed contacts. After spending half an hour sorting them back into their respective compartments I emailed them asking for a new box as a box of cotter pins without the correct clips would result in a messy accident in our shop. Their "After Sales Support" card that was in the box said that if there was a problem, they would work out a satisfactory solution…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

Not the best pins in my collection, but not the worst either.

As expected they all got mixed up, probably because they fell off during transport and handling. I didn't care since I sorted them into my baskets anyway. I threw away a few that were straight, misfolded, or miscut. Note that they don't have a slight kink on the long end that makes insertion easier. I don't know how they are saved in the app or for reuse. I don't normally reuse cotter pins, although I've seen some good mechanics reuse them. They are zinc plated so they can be used for most…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
