Review on KORE AVIATION P1 Series PNR Pilot Headset - Black by George Halbohm

Revainrating 4 out of 5

READ PLEASE! ACCURATE RATING!

PLEASE READ! because this is probably the most accurate review you will find about this headset. I say this because I have several friends who also use this headset and we've been using it for two years now - all have the same opinion on it. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY! I gave 5 stars because they are very reliable. I have used this headset during and after private pilot training. Not once in the two years I've been using them have they failed me for a second. Not a single communication problem. This is probably what worries me the most as I'm one of those pilots who care about safety. But. it's time to get a new one. One thing you need to know about them is that no matter the shape or size of your head, they are really uncomfortable. They put pressure on the ears and head with fairly good pressure, which sometimes resulted in some post-op pain (headaches, etc.). Also, it is NOT GLASS FRIENDLY. Because of the pressure he puts on your head, I literally ALWAYS have to adjust my glasses with him because he won't let them stay straight. Some of the problems that occur OWN TIME: 1. The ear pads WILL flatten out a bit, making the situation worse.2. The mouthpiece lever is loose and always moves away from your mouth. There is no solution for this either. No lag, nothing. Bottom line, this is a good headset for teaching beginners. However, if like me you want to go all the way through the leaderboard, I strongly recommend investing in a better headset, as issues like this only cause unnecessary trouble and distract you from very important workouts like tools, gauges, etc.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here
