Review on HIC Harold 42003 Vegetable Dishwashing by Mary Hawkins

Bought two of these. One is in great shape but the bamboo on the other looks a bit cheesy (first photo). There are a couple of very noticeable seams where a strip of bamboo has been spliced down the middle. Since there will be a lot of water here, I suspect that the seams are trapping moisture. And microbes too. Revain sent me a replacement free of charge, but the replacement (second picture) is missing a small strip. Again just waiting to collect germs and moisture. I'm glad the Revain has replaced the original but disappointed that two of the three aren't up to par. That's why I miss hardware stores where I can check the processing of a product before I pay for it. Aside from the imperfections in the bamboo, the brush appears to be of good quality and I like the way it feels in my hand. I used to have a bamboo vegetable brush with a round (donut-like) handle, but it was very awkward to use.
