Had to buy this to do my wife's first oil/filter change on my wife's new Chevy Equinox. I already had a 32mm (1-1/4") head, but it was too big for the job. It's very low profile (1-1/4" high) and 3/8". -Drive.This socket worked great and was the only way to detach the filter.and an extension to bypass the cables and have enough room to turn the ratchet.Looks like the engineers on this car did everything done to turn what was supposed to be a simple project into a tedious project.Once you loosen the filter, you have to remove the base and finish the rotation manually.Also you only have about 1/8" of play when lifting the entire filter.
