According to datasheet HC-SR501 stops detection ("detection range is shorter") when temperature gets to 30 degrees Celsius approaching (about 90 degrees Celsius). Fahrenheit). These units have through holes for adding a thermistor to improve high temperature performance in case someone needs to add a thermistor. I plan to lower my rating by one star for each device that continues to fail. The first three days I plugged it in, it worked very well. Easy to set up.
