Screws are too long, stay put if not moved.
Ah like other reviews say the screws are too long. I bought shorter screws (too short. I just got lucky) and now it sits on the wall in my garage with whatever spare washers I could find to fill in the gaps (I have photos but can't add them: The Gap is about a dime high and it took 7 washers to fill the extra space of each of the 8 screws). It's ok if you don't move it. We use it for 3 kids bikes and lean 3 scooters on it. For some reason the "guidelines" only list the rules for securely attaching roof racks. Which I find odd as it should NEVER be on a car. I believe the directions and long bolts are for the roof rack and are swapped at the factory.
