ROUGH, HARD AND BIG SIZE FOR MY NEEDS

I bought this product hoping it would make a great addition to my bearded dragons' penthouse. He has a beautiful 40 gallon aquarium with natural branches and rocks at various heights that he can climb to keep warm and sunbathe when needed. Firstly, the measurements given in the description do not match the item I received which was too big for my case. The measurements say its 14x14 inches. The one I got was 17x11x12 and if I count the longest end to end it's 21 inches - at least. He's kind of clumsy, big and tough. If that was the only action taking place in the tank, it could work. But in my aquarium there are branches, trees, stones and so on to create a natural environment. The hammock was so large that it took up almost half of the aquarium, leaving the entire space below in the shade. Not suitable for reptiles that require UV light. This is unfortunate as I was hoping this would fit and work but it didn't. Second, I was concerned that natural grass poses a fire/heat hazard under a hot heat lamp. There are no instructions for the product (and that's okay, since using suction cups seems like common sense). However, I had concerns about the fire hazard and the safe distance to hang it from sunlight. I tried to contact the company on the mobile website using my phone and the website was completely useless. Third, okay, it sounds finicky here, but the product is bulky, coarsely shod, and lots of loosely woven stiff threads sticking out all over the place. And I think it's going to be a mess to clean up. He's so hard and rough I'm amazed he doesn't peel my skin off! So I returned mine. All sizes were wrong and too big for my needs. I finally got down to business and made a really nice homemade hammock. It consists of a clean washcloth folded end to end to form a triangle. I then attached a few pins to each of the three corners and tied string to them, attached some paperclips for hooks (MacGyver style) and now I have a nice hammock that is easy to clean. It doesn't take up half my tank, doesn't block UV or heat as it's not that big. But at the same time it keeps the heat well. My bearded Rocky loves it and slept on it all night. I put my homemade hammock on Y**T*** in case other people have the same difficulty finding the right one for their beard or lizards.
