When I first installed this item a few weeks ago I was really impressed if it would work and look great with Yamaha's new red button! Even the steering wheel lock was perfectly aligned. But after about three days I turn off the ignition when I park my bike and in fact the entire plastic head is missing as it fell apart while writing from the metal key itself. At this point I was still hopeful and assumed it would hold with a Yamaha head wrench and the two black spares I had left. And they did it! A few days go by and I notice that when I accelerate and just hold the key, the ignition plastic shell tries to fly away! Metal counterparts within the first few weeks of purchase and installation, I was almost compelled to write this review. Or at least built to last
