A little over a year ago I found the Uniden PRO510XL on Craigslist for $15. Unfortunately, the original microphone did not work. Although I had an old, powerful, realistic noise-cancelling mic that works with my PRO510, it has a volume knob in the corner; This means you can inadvertently change the volume setting, distracting you in traffic. Because of this, I needed to find a good replacement mic for my CB, something I could pick up and use without thinking twice. This microphone fits the bill. The microphone lies very well in the hand. It's connected to my radio so it worked from the moment I plugged it in; It's pure plug and play! The microphone sounds good. In addition, the price is right. If I have one problem with this microphone, it's that the cable is too long. This might be fine for a truck or large vehicle where the extra length benefits the user, but it's too long for a regular car. Where can I put all that extra mic cable? For that reason, I'm keeping this mic as a backup. So if you need a good replacement microphone for your Uniden CB radio, this is a good choice. It's pure plug and play; It works as soon as you plug it in. It sounds good. It feels good in the hand. In addition, the price is right. Overall, this microphone offers good value for money.
