I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a Spigen Tough Armor case, I needed something to hold/support my phone. I've been looking at and reading reviews of suction mounts (window and dash), vent mounts, and a few others. None of them worked properly for me, I didn't want them sticking to my glass or dashboard. I wanted a cleaner look and something that wouldn't stand out, wouldn't block my view of the road, and be at just the right height to see my phone when using GPS. I won't lie and say that this car mount fits everything, it all depends on your car and dashboard configuration. I'm lucky enough to have my CD player tray on top of my stereo and dash (2012 KIA Optima, Infinity System). The mount holds my phone high enough so it doesn't block my stereo's LCD screen so I can see/read everything on it, including my rear camera. In addition, no ventilation openings are blocked and the view of the road is not obstructed. Living in Northern California, it gets terribly hot in the summer, and after reading other people's reviews, I realized the suction cup mount wasn't for me. This mount is very sturdy, well made and not noticeable in the car (only the mount is not with the phone strapped on).
