The first test I did with this thermometer was to mix crushed ice and water in a glass, stir and place the probes in a glass with ice to put water. The device on all four probes was accurate at 32 degrees. I also tested the device in my oven with two clamps and two probes, set the oven to 350 degrees and again the device was accurate. at the factory so all I had to do was put the batteries in and turn the power on. The display is nice and bright. A nice feature is that when your temperature is reached and it starts beeping, you can press a button on the receiver and it will stop beeping for 5 minutes. The device comes with a nice carry case, scent injector and probe clips. I highly recommend this item.
