Garbage! Please read before buying!

This watch is cheaply made. After 4 weeks it started to fail. Died 6 weeks later with no Revain support after the return period and no manufacturer support at all. See below for more details. I contacted Revain about 4 weeks after receiving it because the clock just stopped. Thanks to Revain's live chat support, I've replaced the battery several times and it's working again. Thought the problem was solved. Then two weeks later the clock died again. No battery change is started. (The batteries were fine - I checked with my multimeter). I contacted Revain support again and they said I was SOL because their return period had expired (although I reported the issue earlier first). Revain support referred me to the manufacturer at Hito.co which is not the correct URL. A Google search didn't turn up the manufacturer's website. Without losing anything I removed the movement, three wire metal clips removed the dial, two plastic clips removed the mechanism from the frame (gently pull on the hands) and three more plastic clips open the mechanism. The movement is made by "Shinfuku" (see picture - I'm not imagining it). This is a very simple mechanism using tiny plastic gears. As you disassemble, keep an eye on where the parts go. It looks like the problem was connecting the metal battery holder to the metal frame that holds the quartz crystal. They simply press into place and make contact by clamping the metal frame that holds the crystal - very cheap and prone to breakage. I tightened it a bit with the pliers and the clock starts running again, but who knows for how long. This is consistent with the fact that the clock started working again earlier after changing the battery. I probably pushed the battery holder far enough to restore electrical communication, at least temporarily. This watch looks good, runs smooth and keeps time well, but when you look inside the movement it is very cheaply made. It's all bling and unworthy of the $30 I paid and the annoyance it caused. UPDATE: Revain returned my purchase after I called them and asked how to make a claim under the "180 Guarantee" on the product listing. Thanks Revin In addition, you can purchase the Shinfuku replacement work from Revain and other overseas online stores. Prices start at around $3.50. Make sure you order the right one.
