I cannot say enough good things about this product. I had mine installed. The camera is above the license plate and the mirror shows what's behind me when I put it in reverse. There are 4 brightness levels on the camera for backup from 40 to 80. Depending on the time of day you need to adjust it. 40 is best when the sun is at its brightest, but for sunset and night I prefer 60 or 70. It really makes backup a lot easier, especially if you're in a store and it's hard to see if there's a car behind you stands. Installed on a 2011 Kia Sorento. I'm not sure if this mirror gets darker when someone with a bright light is behind you. because I haven't had it yet. This is a great backup camera.
