I bought Firebird Trans Am, SE 1981 a year and a half ago. The original air conditioning was replaced with a non-original aftermarket unit. I am in the process of replacing my entire air conditioning system with an old air conditioning system. Along the way, I noticed that neither the windshield washer reservoir nor the coolant recovery reservoir were in the correct positions. I determined the bolts on the coolant surge tank were 1/4-20 and got these nuts to attach to the bracket. I also use 1/4-20 hardware to attach the brackets to the fenders. I like these nuts because they are self-locking. If you're fiddling around under the fender, you want to be fiddling with as little hardware as possible, and these nuts don't need lock washers. The only thing is that they are only disposable. This is normal as I will not remove the mounts/bottles once installed.
