The grill is strong enough for the price. I dropped my subwoofer yesterday and it received a slight dent versus catastrophic damage to the speaker. The clips are weird. They don't seem deep enough for the top mount, but they are too deep for the bottom mount I used. I had to hand saw them to hold the grill in place. Without this modification, the grille would rumble like crazy. For the price, this is a good grill, but expect to tweak the settings a bit.
