Review on Get Fuller & Nourished Hair with John Frieda's Volume Lift Hairspray - Safe for Fine & Color-Treated Hair (10 oz) by Timothy Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works on even desperately fine, flat hair

Pretty much my whole life I assumed I was always a little perplexed about how to really style my hair. I remember my mom using her awful smelly hair spray that weighed down my fine hair and made it crunchy and gross when I was a tween (dance recital maybe?) and just assumed, I simply hated hairspray. Till about 25 I had long hair and a low maintenance style, largely in part because my dad told me "jokingly" told me when I was growing up I wasn't allowed to cut it. So I just assumed that having long hair meant all I really had to do to my stick straight hair was brush it, maybe put in some detangler and leave in conditioner, and I was golden. Learning to style my hair as an adult was an exercise in frustration, but this stuff is an absolute pleasure. It is super lightweight, so it doesn't bog down my already sparse locks, it doesn't smell too strongly and most of that fades from my hair pretty quickly. Most of all, it doesn't make my hair crunchy, oily or flakey! I'm not looking to sculpt my hair into complex shapes (well not so far anyway), just a good boost of volume and maybe the occasional curl, and here this hairspray definitely does deliver.

Pros
  • Styling Products
Cons
  • Can cause hair to become tangled
