Not at all for beginners, this loom is great for those who have experience of weaving in many ways. also somewhat modular in the sense that it can be a cyclic loom, you can wrap the warp around the back and front bars to create a fabric/warp, it can simply be used as a frame, it can take any shape, you need for your type of weaving. Building the scales is a bit tricky at first, but you quickly get the hang of it. The woodwork makes the shed difficult to replace quickly, but not so bad that it becomes unusable. I love it for small projects and rehearsals. works great with a cane!
