Review on ๐Ÿช Non-Stick 11-5/8" x 16-1/2" Silpat Perfect Cookie Silicone Baking Mat by Darren Pham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Concerned about fake/counterfeiting, was legal

TBH I was very superficial when I ordered them through Revain because of all the horror stories people have told about receiving Chinese counterfeit products. I decided to take a chance and order two cookie mats because I already had two real regular Silpats to use for comparison and felt relieved after doing a little research. I compared cell spacing, thickness and texture. Silicone, stenciled and oversprayed letters, clipped corners, excess silicone intersections in the corners, and careful examination of the packaging they came in for image blur, misspellings, and other factors. There was very little difference between the Silpat molds I already had, but I'm convinced it's just a matter of the different tooling used to create these new devices. I used these new Silpat cookie mats to bake over 500 cookies over the holiday season. You have held up well. They don't even seem to hold as much oil/grease as my old ones. I wash them before and after each use and store them folded, printed side out (an old drawing habit) between paper towels. I am very happy with the circle spacing pattern on the sheets and it totally justified the cost to me. I'm an avid baker, the template layout helps me maximize productivity which saves time. For those interested in my cookie marathon setup, here's what it looks like: Nordic Ware Commercial Baker's Aluminum Half Sheet (2-pack), Silver ($21.99) Ultra Cuisine 100% Stainless Steel Baking Wire Cooling Rack, fits half sheet pans (x2 at $19.98 each) Silpat Perfect Cookie Baking Mat (x2 at $24.99 each) I never directly cook aluminum or even let it touch my food. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this setup until I find something better. Much luck. Much luck
