Very cheap PSA design
They are designed to be as cheap as possible - the straps pass through slots on each side and are quite thin. Speaking of which, that would be a good fit for a small woman's knee. Any half-muscled guy will find them too tight. They're only good for occasional use, and you'll find much better ones at Lowe's or Home Depot. Not a very good value.
