The first unit I received had a defective battery that would not charge. After having read the reviews about how hard the battery was to plug into the charger (and all the comments from the manufacturer) I made SURE that my battery was fully engaged, but still would not charge (solid red light after several hours of charging). After some back and forth with the manufacturer, they sent me a new battery and a new charger (only the battery was defective, so now I have an unneeded extra charger).In terms of functionality, this impact driver works very well - it has quite a bit more torque than other lighter-weight 1/2" drive impact drivers that I've used. I would estimate it at around 100 ft lb of torque on lug nuts based on some testing I have done.Note that the torque is NOT adjustable - (and the speed is not variable like most impact drivers). So if you don't want around 100 to 110 ft lbs of torque, be careful.So far I have found the battery life to be very good. I can do a 5-tire rotation with this unit without needing to recharge the battery, and so far it looks like it will sit unused and retain its charge for several weeks at a time.The only issue I have with it is that the sockets fit a bit loosely and will fall off if you turn the wrench down toward the ground. This can be pretty annoying until you get used to this idiosyncrasy.The case it comes with is actually quite nice, and I can keep it under the rear seat in my Jeep with its charger, sockets, and a pair of gloves.Overall, it is a good value for the price and appears to be sturdily built given the low price point.
