Difficult to say as I started taking it maybe 2 weeks ago and have missed a day or 2 here and there. I was also taking DLPA which I ran out of a few days ago as well as Ashwagandha which I was taking daily for say 6 weeks if I remember. So it's hard to say, but my energy, outlook and mood were better and I was under a lot of stress. I don't seem to think about negative things as much as I did a month ago and don't let things upset me anymore. Maybe it's a combination of things, who knows. The only negative for me is that it doesn't help me sleep, which was one of my main goals. It actually has the opposite effect on me. So now I only take 1/2 2-3 times a day instead of 1 hour before bed as the instructions say. It gives me a normal core energy, not as a crazy form of energy, but as a calm subtle energy. I'll probably use it 3-4 times a week during the day and see how it goes. Let's face it, everyone is different, and while you might get crazy, amazing results like everyone else, you might also feel like you squandered a few bucks. I personally think it's worth a try because if it really helps, then it's worth it. Trial and error I think is key here! I would suggest buying a bottle and trying it out over the weekend as directed on the bottle and see how you react, if at all. I also take Ashawanda for its many benefits and it's hard for me to say how well it works or not. This was my very first supplement I tried. It looks like ashwagandha can or just soften me up as needed with no side effects or sleep issues. Maybe I'll have a calm energy too. I think I will continue trying this 5htp (3/4 times a week) with DLPA and Ashwagandha daily. Ashwagandha is very respected even if you don't see/feel the benefits it probably has. Especially if it's high quality ashwagandha. Unless you want instant (as soon as possible) results, it's probably best to try each supplement individually and keep a daily log of how you're feeling and any side effects, whether pros or cons. TRY DIFFERENT SUPPLEMENTS OR DIWTA UNTIL YOU FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU! THIS MAY TAKE SOME TIME AND TRIAL AND ERRORS! Treat reviews with a grain of salt, everyone was different. Some have allergies, some work the night shift, you just never know what will work for you. But I would recommend giving it a try and doing some research. It can help with depression, especially if you get more energy, get better rest (as many do), and feel better. IMHO I would rather try this or other so-called more natural supplements than drugs unless I was really depressed and worried it was going to end soon. )
