These headphones are top notch. Smooth mids, clear, beautifully detailed highs and excellent bass. These phones don't use the "house curve" to artificially boost bass, so some may equate this to "deep bass". However, when the bass signal is really there, they are deafening. These phones should be connected to an external DAC/amplifier. I use Fiio which allows me to boost the bass a bit which warms up the sound and gives a really nice low end. These phones are made of high quality metal. However, they don't feel heavy in the ears, which surprises me a bit. If I had one criticism it would be that the in-ear gasket can be compromised, forcing you to reposition them to maintain sound quality. I mainly use them at work, but they are also good for walking. Although I'm not sure I would try them at the gym. With some quality components powering these phones, they are great. Highly recommended.
