Good but needs improvement!

This will be a review of 2 cameras (Decko) that I have ordered on 2 separate occasions. So I ordered 1 camera in September just to try it out. When I received it the packaging and everything was great and so on. The instructions pretty much cut out and dried with no issues. Well, I have to say I love the camera, but the connection issues are frustrating, especially when you're trying to use it for a "motion doorbell." My front door camera has 80% WiFi and it literally stinks sometimes when I try to connect to it to test the motion alarm. I sometimes spend 5 minutes trying to connect and I have one of the fastest ISPs in the country. At that rate, someone could steal something and disappear before you know it. Motion detection is fine, but don't place it around trees or keep trees in the camera's field of view. I tried setting the sensitivity to number 1 and branches still clip the camera. So I set up the camera and cut some branches. Works well. The application is quite easy to use. Another problem I have is the battery life. Yes, I have a solar panel and it charges every day. I could go to bed with 100% battery and wake up all night without an alarm, and I might have 75% battery. Either way, if you want a decent camera for the money, pay for it. Otherwise, if you have the time, get the wired option. Ps - winter is coming so I'll try to give an updated review in the middle so I can check for durability.

Pros
  • Forever Power, Solar Style: Just 1 hour of direct sunlight per day is enough to continuously power a Dekco Home Security Camera without having to disassemble the camera for charging. The built-in battery keeps the juice going when night falls or when it rains.
Cons
  • Some issues
