I know a sleeping bag isn't designed to prevent climbing, but it helps. My little one just realized he can get out of his crib so we lowered the mattress to the floor, problem solved. But we use Pack n Play when we travel and visit family. He can't sleep in our bed with us, and if he's not chained, then it's time to play in his eyes all night. My little one is maybe about 34 inches tall and 25 pounds. We have size 2T-3T which looks massive on him. But after putting his legs through the leg holes last night and putting it in his backpack and playing before going to bed, he immediately tried to get out. I realized I couldn't fully straighten my legs up and out to the side, so I gave up and went to sleep. I am sure that with much older children it is a different story whether this prophylaxis is sufficient. But for now, until we're ready to move into a crib, this works great for us.
