"Bronze oiled" could be better described as "brown". It's brown. The matte part of the sphere is made of plastic, while the brown part looks like aluminum. People complain about the mounting hardware, but this light is designed for use in a standard 4" ceiling box, has two sets of mounting screw holes, and is easy to box mount. It's absolutely easy to install. Gives off decent light. , contrary to some reviews it is not. This person may have received a faulty or incorrectly installed light fixture. I bought a flashlight on sale for $13 and at that price it's absolutely fine.
