Does not work with Hario V60 plastic stand.

This scale is just plain wrong. No, that's probably right, but for coffee you want to weigh things, and one of the things you might want to weigh is the Hario V60 setup. You know, it's the classic cone pouring attachment and the plastic stand that holds the filter holder. So there are two good ways to use the scale with the Hario setup. The scale can be narrow enough to fit between the lower rails. This is what the pictures of the Hario V60 scale look like. Or the scale length can be wide enough to easily carry both rails, like the Acaia Pearl S. This scale length just doesn't fit. The scale is not suitable with or without a rubber mat. It's just a tiny bit wider than the space between the rails, and that's why the whole thing wants to fall off. I tried brewing coffee with the Hario at a 45 degree angle to the dial. Although it should have worked, it hit right after I wet the filter, everything fell apart, it hit the ceramic V60, the metal plate flew off the pallet and cut the top of the foot quite painfully. The display is difficult to read compared to other scales, but not impossible. I could use it as a dosing scale. The timer is controlled manually. It takes enough force to push the button to make the hario wobble. Overall, I found it less useful than my other two scales. Like a $15 discount scale, well I don't know. I might keep it as a dosing scale or as a backup. I wanted to use it as a spare scale but it just doesn't work for me. If I had used a different casting device it might have worked for me. When I used the V60 directly on the decanter. No, it is not stable when you click the timer button. This would work if you didn't use a timer. But I do tar coffee after falling asleep and before. I can hold it steady until I put it in hot water. So what if I don't tar again after flowering. Thing is, this has to be done while using dirty powder and boiling water. It can be done. There are functions. But instant changes and size issues make it a failure.
