****DO NOT BUY THIS BULB**** I installed these LED bulbs in my 2001 Honda Accord and replaced the 7443 brake light bulbs. The base of the LED is a few tenths of a millimeter thicker than the base of the 7443 glass bulb. I checked the thickness of the two light bulb bases with a micrometer. The plastic base for the bulb on the wiring harness broke during installation. It lit up and seemed to work differently. If you have an older Honda ***** AVOID THIS PRODUCT****. The first clue should be that he really doesn't want to be plugged in. With the 2nd bulb I was more careful and thought I would shake it a little and it wouldn't break the socket but it started crackling and I stopped. The age of the sockets doesn't solve the problem as the plastic is outdated. Test this LED VERY carefully on your bulbs before beginning installation. Better to choose another manufacturer. I put the 7443 bulbs back in. Luckily the cracks aren't so big that the 7443 bulbs can't make good contact and they still work.
